Cremona, the city of violins and music, prepares for a crescendo of concerts and international talent

The Stradivari Festival again this year celebrates the genius of Antonio Stradivari with a program that weaves together tradition and innovation, hosting world-renowned artists and young talent in one of music's iconic venues-the Giovanni Arvedi Auditorium of the Violin Museum.

Monday, October 13 - Capuçon Trio - Soltani - Fujita

Opening the festival will be an exceptional trio: Renaud Capuçon (violin), Kian Soltani (cello) and Mao Fujita (piano).

The program juxtaposes two masterpieces of chamber music: Tchaikovsky's Trio in A minor, dedicated "To the memory of a great artist," and Mendelssohn's Trio in D minor. A beginning charged with pathos and emotional intensity.

Sunday, October 26 - Sergei Krylov & Fazil Say

The meeting of two magnetic artistic personalities-Sergei Krylov, one of the most celebrated violinists of his generation, and pianist and composer Fazil Say, a volcanic and creative performer.

The concert features a dialogue between classical repertoire and Say's original pieces, in a continuous balance between virtuosity and improvisation.

Friday, November 7 - Passion Galliano

Accordion master Richard Galliano brings to the stage a musical journey that spans centuries and styles, from Bach to Gershwin through his most intimate and poetic compositions.

A refined recital, capable of combining French elegance and Mediterranean warmth.

Tuesday, November 18 - The Musical Offering of J.S. Bach

TheAkademie für Alte Musik offers one of Bach's most complex and fascinating works: the Musicalisches Op fer (The Musical Offering), with ricercares, canons, fugues and trio sonata on the famous theme donated by Frederick II of Prussia.

A concert celebrating the art of composition and the rigor of Baroque interpretation.

Wednesday, December 3 - Women Composers Compared

Young violinist Yuki Serino, winner of the "City of Cremona" Competition, performs with theMediterranean Women's Orchestra conducted by Antonella De Angelis.

The program juxtaposes works by lesser-known female composers with pieces from the classical repertoire, in a journey that combines talent, sensitivity, and valuing gender equality.

Wednesday, Dec. 18 - Stradivari Memorial Day

On the day dedicated to the memory of the great luthier, theIntonations Ensemble and violinist Albena Danailova play the extraordinary violin "ex Hämmerle" 1709, kept at the Violin Museum.

On the program are pages by Dvořák, Bartók and Martinu, for an evening that links Cremona's history to the eternal sound of its instruments.

Saturday, December 20 - Gospel at the Auditorium

Soulful grand finale with the New York City Gospel Choir, among the world's most prestigious gospel choirs.

An overwhelming concert that will bring the energy, spirituality and joy of Christmas to Arvedi Auditorium.

Sunday auditions at the Violin Museum

In addition to the evening concerts, the Violin Museum hosts a continuous cycle of auditions with historical instruments, titled The Sound of Stradivari, which is scheduled throughout the year (Saturdays and Sundays at 12 noon.

For fall and winter, a few auditions are currently scheduled in September/October-any additional dates will be announced via the official website and museum channels.
