Stradivari Festival 2025: Cremona’s Music Season
Cremona, the city of violins and music, is gearing up for a crescendo of concerts and international talent
Once again this year, the Stradivari Festival celebrates the genius of Antonio Stradivari with a program that blends tradition and innovation, featuring world-renowned artists and young talents at one of music’s most iconic venues: the Giovanni Arvedi Auditorium at the Violin Museum.

Monday, October 13 – Capuçon, Soltani, and Fujita Trio
The festival will open with an exceptional trio: Renaud Capuçon (violin), Kian Soltani (cello), and Mao Fujita (piano).
The program brings together two masterpieces of chamber music: Tchaikovsky’s Trio in A minor, dedicated “To the Memory of a Great Artist,” and Mendelssohn’s Trio in D minor. It is an opening filled with pathos and emotional intensity.
Sunday, October 26 – Sergei Krylov & Fazil Say
A meeting of two magnetic artistic personalities: Sergej Krylov, one of the most celebrated violinists of his generation, and pianist and composer Fazil Say, a dynamic and creative performer.
The concert features a dialogue between the classical repertoire and Say’s original compositions, striking a constant balance between virtuosity and improvisation.
Friday, November 7 – Passion Galliano
Accordion virtuoso Richard Galliano takes the audience on a musical journey spanning centuries and styles, from Bach to Gershwin, including his most intimate and poetic compositions.
A sophisticated recital that blends French elegance with Mediterranean warmth.
Tuesday, November 18 – J.S. Bach’s *The Musical Offering*
The Akademie für Alte Musik presents one of Bach’s most complex and fascinating works: the *Musicalisches Opfer* ( *The Musical Offering*), featuring ricercars, canons, fugues, and a trio sonata based on the famous theme provided by Frederick II of Prussia.
A concert celebrating the art of composition and the precision of Baroque performance.
Wednesday, December 3 – A Comparison of Female and Male Composers
Young violinist Yuki Serino, winner of the “Città di Cremona” Competition, performs withthe Mediterranean Women’s Orchestra, conducted by Antonella De Angelis.
The program pairs works by lesser-known female composers with pieces from the classical repertoire, in a journey that combines talent, sensitivity, and the promotion of gender equality.
Wednesday, December 18 – Stradivari Memorial Day
On the day dedicated to the memory of the great violin maker,the Intonations Ensemble and violinist Albena Danailova will perform on the extraordinary 1709 “ex Hämmerle” violin, housed at the Violin Museum.
The program features works by Dvořák, Bartók, and Martinu, for an evening that links the history of Cremona to the timeless sound of its instruments.
Saturday, December 20 – Gospel Concert at the Auditorium
A grand finale with a soulful twist featuring the New York City Gospel Choir, one of the world's most prestigious gospel choirs.
A rousing concert that will bring the energy, spirituality, and joy of Christmas to the Arvedi Auditorium.
Sunday Concerts at the Violin Museum
In addition to evening concerts, the Violin Museum hosts an ongoing series of recitals featuring historical instruments, titled *The Sound of Stradivari*, which takes place year-round (Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00 p.m.).
For the fall and winter, several auditions are currently scheduled for September and October—any additional dates will be announced on the museum’s official website and social media channels.
