Cremona Half Marathon 2025: Running Amid Art, History, and the Great River
On October 19, 2025, the HMC – Half Marathon Cremona returns to Cremona, one of the most popular running events in Lombardy and beyond. Now in its 24th edition, the Cremona Half Marathon has become a must-attend event for experienced runners, enthusiasts, and amateurs alike who want to experience running in a unique setting: one of Italy’s most beautiful cities of art.
A Journey Through Art and Nature
Since 2016, the HMC has offered a revamped program that combines the excitement of sports with artistic inspiration.
The first part winds through the heart of the city, offering unique views of historic monuments and squares, passing by the Ponchielli Theater, the Romanesque church of San Michele, and the Tempietto di San Luca, until reaching the charming Vicolo Sant’Omobono. The route also highlights the city’s connection to water: at the 3-kilometer mark, it crosses the iron bridge over the Po River, and at the 16-kilometer mark, it passes the Morbasco, a reminder of the roots of a city nestled between the river and the plain.
In the second part, the route opens up to the countryside: the Bosco ex Parmigiano countryside and a breathtaking view of the Cremona skyline, with the Torrazzo accompanying the runners all the way to the finish line in Piazza del Comune, at the foot of Europe’s tallest bell tower.
A finish that sends shivers down your spine: crossing the finish line beneath the Torrazzo is an unparalleled experience.
The CR10: A Race for Everyone
You don't have to be a marathon runner to experience the magic of the Cremona Half Marathon.
Alongside the 21-km race, this year will also feature the CR10, a 10-km race open to everyone, with two versions:
Competitive (10 km)
Non-competitive (10.2 km)
Both races follow the half-marathon route for the first part, covering the same first 10 km. At Piazza Roma, the CR10 runners will cross the finish line, while the 21-km participants will continue on to Corso Mazzini and the rest of the course.
⚠️ Please note: The non-competitive CR10 race has a limited capacity of 1,000 participants. Be sure to reserve your race bib soon!
